Week 18

 

Game 1: Four Star 3 vs. Krown Rust 3

 

After a few very, very, very, very bad games, Four Star rebounded with a solid effort against the leagues top team. Krown Rust Control has been on a tear. They are 7-1-2 in their last 10 games, which is a ridiculous record. No one in the league is even close.

 

Jimbo pulled out his B+ game, scoring twice and adding a helper. Auston Lane had the other goal. Laner has now scored in the last 6 games, and he has 8 goals in that span. CD19 and Smus had apples.

 

Lazer 1-1, Reeder and Peters had the goals for Four Star. Matt Zavitz had 2 assists, Frankie and Piazzy had 1.

 

Game 2: Chase Contracting 11 vs. Perry Rose 3

 

Not sure who pissed in Chase Contracting’s cheerios, but man have they been mad the last couple of weeks and are taking it out on their opponents. After scoring 10 goals last week, they topped themselves and scored 11 this week.

 

Every player for Chase had a goal except for the captain and Haver. Chase had 2 assist; Haver 1. Spenny Wyatt went off for 4 goals and 2 assists. Kenny Wright had 1-4, Burlon 1-3, Joner 1-3, Banjo 1-3, Larry 1-2, Waring 1-1 and Gav 1-0.

 

As for Perry Rose, they have hit the skids. 3-7 in their last 10. 3 losses in a row. 23 goals given up in 3 games. Not a good look for the second-place team. Val Borschevsky had 2 goals, while Neilly had 1. Jos had 2 apples, Prender and Austin Jones had 1 each.

 

Game 3: Kemp Financial Group 1 vs. Eve Mechanical 0

 

This was not game indicative of what our league is about. We are about goals. Mistakes. Good plays and bad plays. This was a game of Goalie. 2 stud goalies showing the rest of us up.

 

Gannage had the only goal. Littlejohn and O’Doherty had assists.

 

Game 4: VolpeAlcorn 7 vs. Good Neighbours 5

 

This was another very close game. A late empty net goal for VA solidified the win.

 

After watching his brother score 2 goals earlier in the day, Nik Borschevsky went out and doubled Val’s goals. Nik scored 4 times, Diamond had 2-2 and Culley had 1-1. Skooter and Kosmo had 2 apples, Mike Volpe had 1.

 

Brock Levick scored twice and added a helper in the loss. Doaker had a goal and 3 apples; Quiznos had 1-1 and Waters had 1-0. Hoguey, Crescenzi and bubble wrapped Minicello had 1 assist each.

League Rules:

 

1) Show up for the game. Pretty self-explanatory.

2) If you can’t make it, let your captain know.

3) Shower. Seriously. You are an adult. Don’t walk stinking.

4) Visit the cubby. As often as you can. You’ll be surprised how nice of guys we actually have in this league.

5) When it’s your turn, bring your share. It’s only fair.

6) Have a back up case. You’ll be a HERO.

 

 

 

 

Cubby Rules:

 

1) No girls

2) Make sure your team has drinks

3) Don’t drink another team’s last bevy

4) No girls

5) Keep it CLEAN. Every team should clean up their mess

6) No fighting

7) If you do need to bring a girl, make sure this is approved by cubby management.

 

 

Rememeber that the cubby starts immediately after the east coast game and will end once the last bevy is consumed. Your captain should have volunteered themselves to bring the first week. The weather looks fairly decent, but make sure to dress appropriately. Toques, mitts and boots don't make you a a wimp.
