Week 14

 

Game 1: Krown Rust 8 vs. Eve Mechanical 3

 

You are going to notice a lot of 8’s for the winning teams this week. Offence was definitely on the menu. Krown came out on fire scoring 4 times in the first 10 minutes and finished the period up 5-3. Krown’s 2 goals in the last 2 minutes cemented the win.

 

Austin Laner was the lead goal scorer, sniping 2 and adding an assist, while Jimbo scored 1 and had 4 helpers; CD19 and Kalpy had 1-2, Moody and Dasilva both had 1-1. Tripper had 1 assist.

 

Barrett had 2 goals and an assist in the loss for Eve Mech. Iacono had 2-1, casual Clayton and Stuuuu Burgooon had 1-0.  Barker had 2 apples and Gibby had 1.

 

Game 2: VolpeAlcorn 5vs. Chase Contracting 3

 

In the Battle for the Basement, Chase Contracting came out ahead. Or behind. Well, they lost and got sole position of last place. Just to be clear, VolpeAlcorn scored more goals than Chase Contracting and won the game.

 

Jesse Smith scored 1-1 for VA, with Nik Borschevsky and Zucc’s getting 1-0. Dino had 4 dishes, Diamond had 3 and Kosmo had 1.

 

Chase Contracting dominated the last minute of both periods, scoring with 2 seconds left in the first and 21 seconds left in the last period. Joner had the first 2 CC goals and added an assist on Adam Waring’s! goal. Chaser had 2 apples, Kenny Wrigth, Spenny and Gav had 1 each.

 

Game 3: Good Neighbours 8 vs. Perry Rose 5

 

Good Neighbours had struggled with wins, only recording 3 dubs in the last 10. You know what they have been missing in those 10 games? That’s right. Goals. This week Dan’s boys showed up and both had decent games. Brad led the way with 3-2, while Brock had 3-1. Crescenzi and Keefer chipped in with 1-1 each. Q/Que/Queue had 3 apples, Waters had 2 and Contento had 1.

 

Josy started off hot, scoring twice in the first 5 minutes, but unfortunately the office sputtered after that. Prender helped out with a goal and 2 assists; Sovy had 1-1, and Hammer had 1-0. Val, Currie, Neilly and Wegs had appies.

 

Game 4: Four Star 8 vs. Kemp Financial Group 3

 

Another game, another 8 goals by the winning side. Four Star continued their warm streak, recording their 7^th win in their last 10 games. Mitch Lebar and Fire Hydrant Frank both had 5 point games, with Mitchy getting 2-3, while Francesco had 1-4. Wise16 had 1-2, Lazer 1-1; Surfy and Reeder scored once. Peters had 2 apples. Zavy and Steener did not have any points, but their goalie had 1 assist.

 

Littlejohn and O’Doherty are first and second in league scoring. So, of course they were involved in all 3 of their teams goals. LJ had 2 goals/1apple, Paul had the mirror opposite 1goal/2appy day. Shawn Flynn also had an assist.

League Rules:

 

1) Show up for the game. Pretty self-explanatory.

2) If you can’t make it, let your captain know.

3) Shower. Seriously. You are an adult. Don’t walk stinking.

4) Visit the cubby. As often as you can. You’ll be surprised how nice of guys we actually have in this league.

5) When it’s your turn, bring your share. It’s only fair.

6) Have a back up case. You’ll be a HERO.

 

 

 

 

Cubby Rules:

 

1) No girls

2) Make sure your team has drinks

3) Don’t drink another team’s last bevy

4) No girls

5) Keep it CLEAN. Every team should clean up their mess

6) No fighting

7) If you do need to bring a girl, make sure this is approved by cubby management.

 

 

Rememeber that the cubby starts immediately after the east coast game and will end once the last bevy is consumed. Your captain should have volunteered themselves to bring the first week. The weather looks fairly decent, but make sure to dress appropriately. Toques, mitts and boots don't make you a a wimp.
